Free Unity URP shaders

Stylized materials and full-screen effects for the Universal Render Pipeline in Unity 6, each a single .shader file you drop into Assets. Every preview below is running its shader live: open one to tune its properties in an Inspector and watch the preview change before you download it.

What every shader here has

One file, no graph

Each shader is a single .shader file in ShaderLab and HLSL. There is no Shader Graph asset or sub-graph to import, and you can read every line.

Built for URP in Unity 6

They target the Universal Render Pipeline 17 that ships with Unity 6. Opaque ones include shadow, depth and depth-normals passes and work with the SRP Batcher.

Inspector-first

Every setting is a material property with a range, so you tune it in the Inspector, animate it from a script, or drive it from the Timeline.

How to add one to your project

  1. Make sure the project uses URP: Edit > Project Settings > Graphics should list a Universal Render Pipeline asset. New Unity 6 3D projects use URP by default; for an older project, see moving from Built-in to URP.
  2. Download the .shader file and put it anywhere under Assets.
  3. Create a material (Assets > Create > Material) and choose the shader under Scripts For Unity in its Shader menu.
  4. Assign the material to a renderer and tune it in the Inspector.
  5. Full-screen effects go on your URP Renderer instead: Add Renderer Feature > Full Screen Pass Renderer Feature, then set its Pass Material, Injection Point and Requirements as the shader's page lists.
